Graeme Allan
BVSc MVSc DipACVR FACVSc

Dr Allan is a graduate of the University of Sydney. Initially he was in small animal practice for several years, followed by a residency in Radiology at the Cornell University Veterinary College, NY. After successful completion of the ACVR board examinations Graeme commenced practice in Sydney as a Specialist Veterinary Radiologist with a concurrent appointment as a Consultant Veterinary Radiologist at the University Veterinary Centre [Sydney]. The practice changed in 1998 with the addition of Robert Nicoll, since which time Graeme has practiced with Robert as Veterinary Imaging Associates, which is a referral practice that specialises in radiographic and ultrasonographic imaging. Graeme is also an Adjunct Professor of Veterinary Science at the University of Sydney and shares with Robert instructional responsibilities for veterinary students at the University of Sydney University Veterinary School.

Dr Allan is a skilled teacher who has accumulated an enormous amount of resource material and who has the experience to tutor at the highest level on all aspects of radiology and ultrasound. He created the radiology distance education program that has been used by the PGF for the past ten years. Robert Nicoll joined the program in 1998, and in 2001 Graeme and Robert undertook a substantial review of all of the instructional material and converted it to an Online format to enable electronic transmission of learning material. From 2002 the Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging program will be offered exclusively in an online format.
