Dr Linda Beer
BVSc MACVSc (Animal Behaviour)

Linda graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1994 and worked in Small Animal general practice for ten years. Enjoying all aspects of training and competing with her own dogs, her interest in behaviour was hastened by the challenges presented by her second dog 'Bundy' who developed inter-dog aggression. She completed the Delta Canine Good Citizen Instructors Course in 1998 and followed this by completing her Membership of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in Animal Behaviour in 2000.
Since then she has continued her passion for positive reinforcement training applying it to a variety of species including dogs, cats, horses and goats. She is a lecturer on the Delta Canine Good Citizen Instructors Course, and currently works at Sydney Animal Behaviour Service, seeing referral behaviour cases. She is the current President of the Veterinary Behaviour Chapter of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists, the Editor for the Australian Veterinary Association’s Behaviour Special Interest Group (AVBIG).
