Simon Lemin
BVSc MACVSc (Surgery)
I was born in Aberdeen in Scotland but came to live in Oz when I was seven years old. I graduated from The University of Queensland in 1990 and after seven years in general practice switched to the challenges and stimulation of emergency practice. Originally the position was supposed to be for a couple of months but ten years later I am still here.
Since 1997 I have worked full time in the emergency centre. My special interests are emergency surgical intervention and ventilator medicine. I am a member of the college of veterinary scientists in the chapter of Small Animal Surgery. I am still genuinely excited by emergency medicine and love to come to work to see what cases come our way.
I have two children—the eldest one now works with us in the centre on Saturdays.
