Adjunct Associate Professor Phil Moses

Adjunct Associate Professor Philip Moses graduated from the University of Sydney in 1986 and worked in several large animal and mixed practices until cured of the desire to become a large animal practitioner. He moved to the UK in 1990 and began the long road to small animal surgical specialisation. He completed the Certificate in Small Animal Orthopaedics at the Royal College in 1994 and then worked in referral practice until returning to Australia in 1996. Philip started residency in small animal surgery in private practice in Brisbane completing his MACVSc in 1998. He moved to the University of Sydney as Senior Registrar then Acting Head of Surgery in 2000. He travelled to the USA to the University of Florida as a visiting scholar in 2001 before returning to Veterinary Specialist Services in Brisbane. He has an appointment as Adjunct Associate Professor with the University of Queensland. His surgical interests include urinary tract, vascular, neurological and orthopaedic surgery. He is currently involved in several research projects with Westmead Children’s Hospital in Sydney and the University of Queensland. He has presented at numerous conferences in Australia and overseas. Philip is the father of six beautiful children and a devoted supporter of the Queensland Reds and the Wallabies.
