Dr Chris Preston
Dr. Chris Preston is a registered specialist in small animal surgery and runs a stand alone referral practice in central metropolitan Melbourne. Chris completed his BVSc at Melbourne University in 1993 followed by two years of small animal practice. In 1995 he moved to Brisbane to work as a surgical intern at Queensland Veterinary Specialist Centre. From 1997-2000 Chris completed a three year formal residency training program at the University of California, Davis. He gained Fellowship of the Australian College in 2000 and also became a Diplomate of the American College the following year. Chris started the Animal Surgery Centre in 2001 and enjoys neurosurgery, soft tissue surgery and oncologic surgery. His special interests include stifle arthroscopy, Total joint arthroplasty (hip, knee and elbow) and intraoperative fluoroscopically-guided fracture repair.
