Dr Stanley graduated
from the University of Melbourne in 1984. Dr Stanley undertook an Ophthalmology
Residency from 1987 to 1989 obtaining his MACVSc in Small Animal Surgery.
In 1990 Dr Stanley obtained his Fellowship in the Australian College
Of Veterinary Scientists in the field of ophthalmology and is now in
an ophthalmology-only specialist clinic in Melbourne.
Dr Stanley works with two other veterinarians in this practice. Dr Stanley’s
special interests in ophthalmic surgery, hypertensive retinotherapy
and cataracts. He is also a lecturer and holds ophthalmology clinics
at the Veterinary School, University of Melbourne. Dr Stanley has lectured
in Japan, the United States, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, and England
as well as throughout Australia. Dr Stanley is co-author of the book
“Common Eye Diseases - A Problem Oriented Text for Veterinarians” and
has also contributed to textbooks such as “Fundamentals of Veterinary
Ophthalmology” and “Small Animal Ophthalmology, a Problem Oriented Approach”.

surgery and pharmacology.
