Adam Toyer
BVSc

Adam Toyer graduated from Sydney University in 1995. He worked in various small animal positions in Newcastle, Batemans Bay and Camden before heading off in 1999 with his wife to travel and work in the UK and Europe. After too much travel and nowhere near enough work Adam returned to Australia where he decided that he was not cut out for being told what to do so he and his wife bought a half share of a mixed equine/small animal practice in Batemans Bay, NSW where he currently still works (or plays, depending on how you look at it!).

During the last five years Adam had his bowel removed because of bowel cancer (no worries, good surgeon, good nurses, good painkillers!, over it!), had one child (more challenging than cancer, nowhere near being over it!) and has spent way too much money on travelling where ever he can convince his wife and daughter to go.

Adam may well be a closet bohemian as he is passionate about truth, beauty peace and love. He believes that an end to world poverty, an end to war, an end to oppression, and to love thy neighbour are ideals worth fighting for. Adam hopes that his work as a vet can bring a little bit of love and joy into the lives of the animals he treats and their owners; because that is what being a vet is all about.
