Open Wide, Come Inside: Small Animal Dentistry - The workshop will encompass both general and advanced dental techniques. The weekend will cover both periodontal treatment and oral surgery including extractions, but will go beyond the basics of the diseases and their treatment. Day one will cover the pathogenesis of periodontal disease, as well as, exploring the current and future therapy options available to companion animals for saving teeth. It will also cover treatments including scaling, polishing, gingival flaps and guided tissue rejuvenation. On day two oral surgery techniques will be reviewed, including extractions, fracture repair and soft tissue surgery. |
